General Dentistry

Our general dentists want to create magnificent smiles for our patients, but our goal for your oral health doesn’t stop with regular exams. A gorgeous grin won’t last unless you have healthy teeth and gums to support it. With preventive and general dental services, we can preserve your oral health and give you a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.

Regular Exams

So that we can monitor your mouth and catch small problems before they intensify, our general dentists recommend biannual checkups. During this visit, we will perform a thorough evaluation, including digital X-rays, a comprehensive gum exam, bite analysis, screening for oral cancer, tooth-by-tooth inspection and screening for oral cancer. The hygienist will clean and polish your teeth, as well as offer tips to maximize home hygiene. If the doctor identifies a troubled area, we will develop a meticulous plan to address the problem and renew your oral health.

Dental Oral Hygiene

Our general dentist practices has a unique combination of doctors and available services. Because a majority of the adult population has gum disease and periodontal disease leads to tooth loss, we have a periodontal specialist on our team. If patients have moderate to severe gum disease, most dental practices refer them out to a periodontal specialist. We offers gum disease treatment so that you can receive comprehensive dental care in one office. We also offer cosmetic gum treatment for those who want to improve the look of their smiles.

Oral Cancer Screening

prevent oral cancer

Nearly 40,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer this year. As a part of your six-month regular exam, our general dentists screen your mouth for signs of oral cancer. Detecting oral cancer at its earliest manifestation can save your life. Statistics show that more than half of diagnosed patients die within five years. At our general dental practice, we’ll check your mouth for anomalies such as non-healing sores, red or white spots, or lumps. If you feel pain or numbness in your mouth or lips, you should let us know. Our general dentists use Velscope technology to perform your oral cancer screening. Velscope reveals pre-cancerous and cancerous cells uses a high intensity light to reveal anomalies in your mouth, and requires a prerinse.
